Many Christians today are attracted to well-developed churches with numerous programs for their families and opportunities from which to choose. Those often are good churches, doing good work.
God has given Bethlehem Baptist Church a different challenge. We are an old country church, begun in 1854 and revitalized in the early 2000’s. And today, that old country church is watching the farms become subdivisions and big box stores and the small schools of yesterday turn into big, modern schools with incredible facilities. People are flooding this rural area, and soon it will not be rural anymore.
Thousands are moving here over the next several years who are without Christ and without genuine hope for eternity. God has given us that hope in the gospel, and He has given us the Great Commission, commanding us to share that gospel and to see the Holy Spirit at work as people turn to Jesus for forgiveness and a future.
Much is stacked against us. We have few children and young adults and few workers. Our location is not easy to find but our God is infinite, and He has called us to go and to tell, and people are listening and responding. And He has a plan for all the rest!
Perhaps, as a part of that plan, He is calling you to join us. He has called us to work, to get out of our “come and sit” comfort zone, to share the gospel, and to watch Him perform miracles before us.
